What is Digital Scrapbooking?

Digital Scrapbooking is the process of creating scrapbook layouts, cards or projects on the computer using image-editing software. Digital photographs and scrapbooking graphics are imported into an image editing-program where they can be arranged to create a scrapbook page or project. Completed pages are then stored on the computer and can be printed out and placed in a scrapbook album. Visit our

Why should I try Digital Scrapbooking?

Digital scrapbooking makes it incredibly easy, and affordable to get creative while preserving your family’s most precious memories. Briefly, here are a few key benefits: Supplies are always stored neatly on your computer. There are no papers, brads, glitter or glue to clean up. Digital products can be endlessly duplicated and recolored to suit your needs. You will never run out of letters, stickers or ribbons as digital products are non-consumable and can be used over and over again. Can I use your products for traditional (paper) scrapbooking?

Yes. All Peppermint Creative products are created at 300dpi to ensure optimum print quality. Once you receive your files (either by downloading them or you may opt to have your order burned to CD and mailed to you), you may print them out, either at home or at a photo lab and use them as you would traditional paper supplies. Our 12x12" background papers can be cropped or resized to 8.5x11" if needed.

Can I print my layouts/projects?

Yes. All Peppermint Creative products are created at 300dpi to ensure optimum print quality. All background papers are 12"x12" in size; however you may shrink them to suit your needs without compromising quality.


I'm a designer; can I sell my products at Peppermint Creative?

Sorry, at this time Peppermint Creative is not offering consignment spaces.

How do I apply to become a member of your Design or Hybrid Team?

At this time all team positions are currently filled.

Is my login information for the store the same as in the forum and gallery?

No. You must create a separate account in order to participate in the forum and gallery.

What currency are you prices listed in?

Can I post my layouts/projects featuring your designs in online galleries?

Please do! Just be sure to credit Peppermint Creative for the specific kits and/or elements you use in your layouts.

Can I submit layouts/projects featuring your designs for publication?

Definitely! Please do submit your layouts and projects to scrapbooking magazines and books. Please remember to give proper credit {Product Name, Miss Mint,} for the specific products you use.

Can I alter and recolor your designs?

Absolutely. However, you may not alter them and then claim them as your own.

Can I share your products with my friends?

Peppermint Creative products may not be shared or distributed. If you have a friend who is interested in our products, please direct them to this Website.

Can I use your products to design headers and buttons for my personal blog?

Yes. As long as your blog is not associated with a commercial website or venture. If you are selling anything on your blog this makes it a commercial website and you may not use Peppermint Creative products without a commercial license. Please give proper credit with a link back to

May I copy content (text and/or graphics) from your Website to publish on my own commercial site/blog?

All content belongs to Peppermint Creative and may not be copied/used without written permission.

Are your products available for commercial use?

You may
apply for a Limited Commercial License for Small Business Use. This license is not intended for re-distribution or large business use does not allow for Peppermint Creative products to be used by digital designers when creating their own kits, elements or templates. Unless you have purchased a Limited Commercial License, Peppermint Creative products, whether purchased or downloaded free of charge, may be used for PERSONAL use only.

Do you sell wholesale?

Peppermint Creative is an online retailer and does not offer wholesale pricing.

How do I place an order?

To place an order you must have a Peppermint Creative account. Once you’ve
registered you can add products to your cart and then checkout when you are ready. Our shopping cart system will store the items you place in your cart in memory if you choose not to checkout so that you will not have to re-add the same items when you return. Once you are ready to checkout you will be directed to to complete your payment. Paypal will handle the transaction safely and securely without disclosing any of your financial information to Peppermint Creative.

How do I download my purchase(s)?

All digital products can be downloaded directly from the website. After your payment has been processed through
Paypal, you will be redirected back to the Website where your download link(s) will be made available to you. You may access your links at a later time before they expire by logging in and clicking ‘My Account’. Locate your order number and click ‘View’ to find your link(s). Click the first link to initiate the download process. A dialogue box will pop up. Select ‘Save’. You will then be asked where on your computer you would like to save the file. Select a location and click ‘OK’. Allow the download to run until it is complete. Please download no more than two (2) products at a time to prevent download errors. Once your download is complete you will need to extract the files and before you can start creating. Customers on a dial-up connection may want to consider purchasing our CD Burning Service for larger orders.

How do I download a free kit?

To download our free monthly kit you are required to
create an account at Peppermint Creative. You will not be asked to disclose your billing information. Once you have created an account, log in and click ‘Free’ in the navigation bar to view this month’s featured kit. Click ‘Download’ then ‘Add to Cart’ and then ‘Checkout’. You will go through the standard checkout process however you will not be asked to pay. Your link will be made available to you immediately.

Where can I find past monthly free kits?

All past kits are available in the store under the Coordinated Kits section for a reduced price.

When do my download links expire?

All download links automatically expire in 7 days or 5 download attempts – whichever comes first. Please be sure to download your purchase within this time frame and always check your files once downloaded to ensure that they have transferred to your computer correctly. If you are having trouble obtaining a working file, please contact us for assistance.

Can I have my purchase burned to CD and mailed to me?

Yes. Peppermint Creative now offers Worldwide CD Burning Services. You must purchase the service through the store and we will gladly send you a hard copy of your order on a CD via Canada Post Air Mail. You may burn multiple orders on one (1) CD. Please indicate the order number(s) you would like included when you make your purchase. Should additional CD’s be required to accommodate your order you will be notified by email and sent an invoice through PayPal.

How much will my shipping charges be?

Shipping charges are calculated based on the weight of the package including the box and the distance of travel. If you would like to know how much your order will cost to ship, simply place the item(s) in your cart, enter your shipping address, and press Continue. Your shipping charges will appear before you are charged. You will then be asked if you would like to proceed with your order.


How do I purchase something from Peppermint Creative?

What is an e-Check?

An e-Check is an electronic funds transfer through
Paypal; one is sent when you choose to pay with funds directly from your bank account, as opposed to paying from your credit card or with funds already in your Paypal account. It is like writing a check, except it is done electronically.

How does paying with an e-Check affect my order?

e-Checks take anywhere from 3-10 days to clear, depending on your bank's policies, as
Paypal must first ensure that it receives the transfer of funds from your bank. Once your payment has cleared, your download link(s) will be activated and you will be notified by email. If you would like to receive your downloads instantly, you must pay using funds already in your Paypal account or with a debit or credit card.

How do I purchase a Gift Card?

Gift Cards can be purchased like any other item in our store. Once purchased, the value of the Gift Card will be added to your own personal Gift Card account. What is the quality and size your digital products?

All products are created at 300 dots-per-inch (dpi) to ensure optimum print quality. Background papers are sized 12x12" unless otherwise noted.

What file format are your products in?

All background papers are saved as high resolution (300dpi) .JPG files. Elements and/or accessories are saved as .PNG files to allow images to retain their transparency so that they can be placed directly onto your layouts and/or projects. Brushes are saved in .ABR format for Adobe Photoshop users and also in .PNG format for those using other graphics programs. All files are downloaded in compressed .zip format in order to keep the files sizes as small as possible to make it easier for you to download.

What is a .zip file?

Zip files compress data making it faster and more efficient to send and receive over the internet. Because only one download is required to obtain multiple files, it's the most convenient way to transfer digital scrapbook products.

How do I open a .zip file?

If you are using Windows XP, an unzip utility is built into your computer. Just right-click on the .zip file and extract the items to the folder of your choice. If you do not have Windows XP, you will need a program like
Winzip (for PC) or Stuffit Expander (for Mac). You can download a free trial version of either program at


Where is my download link?

After you purchase an item from the store, a download link will appear on your Order Information page directly after your Paypal confirmation. If for some reason you cannot find your download link, it can be accessed any time before the expiry date from your account. Simply log in, click ‘My Account’, locate your order, click 'View', and your download link should appear on the resulting page. If you have paid with an e-Check, your link(s) will not appear until your payment clears.

Why has my download link expired?

I just paid for my order, why is the status still ‘Pending’?

When your order is listed as ‘Pending’ you have chosen to pay by e-Check. The transaction will not be complete until the funds have cleared our bank account. I have a dial-up/wireless internet connection why are my downloads failing?

Downloading large files can be difficult on a dial-up or wireless connection. A download manager can help by resuming the download if your connection is lost and later re-established. Two popular programs are
ReGet Deluxe and Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). You may opt to have your order compiled on CD and mailed to you using our Worldwide CD Burning Service. This service is a great option for those with slow or unreliable internet connections. Click here to add this service to your order.

What should I do if my file says its empty/damaged/corrupt/password protected?

Download errors are fairly common, particularly when downloading larger files. Many times they do not appear until you try to unzip your file. This does not mean that the actual file is bad, but rather, that it did not download completely or correctly to your computer. Often times, even when it has appeared to have downloaded successfully, it may not have.Before you try again, delete any partially downloaded or corrupted files from your computer (empty your recycling bin too) or your computer will identify that it already has the file and will continue using the original corrupted one. Download only one (1) file at a time. Most times, this will solve the problem. However, if you are still unable to obtain a working file, please clear your temporary internet files and delete any partially or corrupted files before trying again. Save your file to a different location on your computer in order to force your Internet Service Provider to give you a new file. Otherwise, they may try to give you the same corrupt download in order to save bandwidth and space.

Why should I delete a corrupt/empty file before I download again?

Your computer may cache (save) the download information. If you do not delete the file completely (from your recycling bin too), you will likely get the same corrupted file again.

I have tried to download my file(s) several times and it still won’t work?

Delete any partially downloaded or corrupted files from your computer (empty your recycling bin too), clear your temporary internet files and reboot your computer. Download your file(s) again but save to a different location. This prevents your Internet Service Provider from caching (saving) your download and giving you the same corrupt file in order to save bandwidth and space.

My computer/EHD crashed; can you reset my entire order history?

ORDERS OLDER THAN 4 MONTHS from the day you contact us to report the issue will not be reset. This courtesy is only available to paying customers, meaning you must have at least one paid order within the time frame that you require a reset in order to receive one. You are responsible for backing up your files and we strongly suggest that you do so regularly. Please be sure to unzip and check your files once downloaded to ensure that they have transferred to your computer correctly. Please
