gabby inspired me to do vintage. this is a vintage lomo action. i like the way it turned out. it looks vintage but still has nice color. (i think so anyway. )
What a fun challenge and fortunately I didn't forget it this time, .
Here's mine:
My husband said it was a stupid photo, . He doesn't like it when not the whole photo is sharp while I like the effect of only a little part is sharp. But I will look for some other red things in the house. We have some very nice red roses in the garden, but it's raining here.
(It's in the gallery, but I can't link it back here, because the shop and gallery are down now, so I've uploaded it to Photobucket)
On my second photo you see my old accordeon. I have it 30 years now and when we bought it it was already second hand. So some parts are missing and it doesn't look new at all, but I still love to play on it. I had lessons from my 9th until my 14th. Around 20 years ago I stopped playing, but my husbands grandmother (who's a Russian) loves accordeon music. It's her favourite instrument. So since a year I play again and I take my accordeon to play old Russian songs for her.
Well I am loving taking photos of things that I take for granted each day. I also took a photo of strawberries and it looked amazingly like the one in the gallery- I thought I had loaded the wrong photo for a sec- great minds think alike Love the strawberries.
Thanks for another great challenge
Had to go with cars after seeing Sarahs pic! There's an informal car show every week in the summer near my house so I popped over to hunt for red cars for the challenge. Want to know the scariest part? I didn't even use ANY color actions on these pics - that's how RED the car actually is - crazy right?
Didn't enter this one (couldn't CHOOSE) but had to share:
i tried to get involved in the other challenges and just for oen reason or other let them pass me by
this time i thought ok RED........red to me means love, and what i love most is my husband and children, the thing that represents my husband the most that is red is his coke cup that he picked up at a garage sale, he loves LOTS OF ICE with his drinks and this cup reminds me of him when i look at it and he isnt around. I makes me smile because this little quirk of his is part of him
TFL
i used canon rebel xsi the settings i believe were 1/125 f-8.0 flash on sorry im not very technical im still learning how to use a slr
i later duplicated the photo and colour burned it a bit, then used the bitchin b/w action at 35% colour dodge
i will try and find somethign red that represents my kids later on in the day hopefully
