We adopted a English Springer Spaniel today!!!

I recently told the Mint crew that we had to put down our dog in August. He was 13 and just miserable. It hasn't been long, but I was anxious to get another dog. I've never been without one and it's lonely.

We adopted "Jeff" today. We need to rename him. Jeff isn't working for us, especially since it's my BIL's name. A gal needed to get rid of him and was about to take him to a shelter. He is 5 months old and seems very well behaved for the 3 hours I've had him. He's such a sweetheart! He listens so well. He has two heart shaped patches on his side. It's so cute.

Awwwww...so cute and cuddly!! I'm so jealous!! I grew up with spaniels but have developed and allergy to dogs. LOL at the name Jeff...just isn't a name I would think to call my dog. We adopted two cats a few years ago and their names were Mona and James...James just doesn't scream cat to me so I changed it to Max. Good luck picking a new name!!! :)

We also have a 5 month old pup, but he is a great dane..

Well the decision has been made. We are going to call him Max short for Maxwell. He looks like a Max. Seems like a good name, Right Kirsty? We came up with that before I saw your post. Too funny! OOH, Miss Mint I like Jet! Any other suggestions? I will tell Greg that one. See if he likes Jet. I can't beleive they named him Jeff either. I told her (the lady we baught him from) we would be changing his name. LOL!

Here is another pic of him. Oh he is just the best. He rode in the car with me to get some puppy food. He sat in the front seat like it was nothing. I gave him a bath tonight and he just let me do what I had to do. He goes the bathroom outside and doesn't run off. He listens. He's so awesome!!!! Ah, im in love....

I had a Spitz mix that we named Max.. he was one of the best dogs ever!! We lost him early though :(

I have a Brittany Spaniel mix right now (Mixed with Pom), named Nilla... she is a great dog too! She's 7 years old, and is the most hassle free tog I have ever had! Think the Spaniel breeds are amazing dogs!
