Happy Tuesday girls -- it's been an eventful day here. We had a HVAC guy come to give us an estimate for a heat pump for the house, then a terminator guy came for the annual inspection -- didn't know he was coming. But he was here all of five minutes. The kids and I have been plugging away with school and have one thing left to do. I need to run to the store when Carl gets home to get some milk and cream of celery soup for dinner. Not much else planed for the day.

Sounds like a crazy day! I am in class right now... the professor is :blah::blah::blah: and I'm like  so I came online. Shhhh... don't tell. lol2
I'm super tired... stayed up until 1 am last night doing a case brief for my Family Law class... then got up really early to finish it. I need a Dr. Pepper.

I used to make it all the time. I should dig out the blender because cream of celery soup and toasted open-face marble cheddar sandwiches are yummy on a cool fall day. I'm just making tortellini and tomato sauce :o)

I've got to edit my apple picking photos so I can scrapbook... and my kids just got home from school.

Sounds like an eventful day for everyone. :) My boys are playing a game on the TV and I am trying to sketch out a card to do. I've been so inspired by the hybrid creations here lately -- I want to do a Minty card. :)

Well it's Wednesday morning for me.

DH's alarm went of at 4.30am because he had to get up and to the airport to fly interstate for the day. My 5yr old is at a friends for a sleepover. The other 2 kids got up at 5.30am. I've been on the computer, had breakfast with the kids, dressed the kids for daycare, stacked the dishwasher and will be walking out the door in 30 minutes (8am) to take the kids to daycare.

Then it's to the gym for at least 2 hours. Pick up my 5yr old DD on the way home. Shower and get dressed to go out to lunch for a friends birthday. Pick the 2 kids up from daycare early and straight home becasue my SIL is in town from interstate and is coming over with her family for the afternoon to visit. They say they aren't staying for dinner but the chances they will is high so must have something ready just in case (pasta and garlic bread, quick, simple and feeds a crowd). DH won't be home till 9pm.

phew, full day, glad I'm not photographing it LOL!

It's not much of a recipe LOL. What I do is chop a bunch of celery and dice some onion and cook them in a bit of oil with some spices. Things like garlic and oregano and rosemary. I usually just smell them and throw in what smells good LOL. Then I simmer them in vegetable stock - just enough to cover - until soft. Then I chuck it into the blender (sometimes in batches) then pour into a pot and mix with evaporated milk until just creamy enough. Then I add more seasonings to taste and heat and serve.

Sometimes I string the celery. Sometimes I don't bother and then we floss afterwards LOL.
