Ok like I said I never watch TV. Watching movies is not my strong suit either. I hate shutting my mouth for that long. Today though in class we were asigned to watch a movie about relationships. Any one we want? My teacher said AKA Chick Flicks. Its a interpersonal communication class. So any recommendations? What are the best chick flicks. Throw them all at me you would be amazed what I have never seen. And do it quick since I want to set up my Netflix today or tommarow.

Well the girls have been chatting about Chick Flicks for awhile -- one of my favorites is with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock called The Lake House -- I love that movie.

Oh! I think I've seen them all :D I love Sweet Home Alabama, probably my favorite. There's 50 First Dates (very cute!), the classic Pretty Woman, Love Actually, Alot Like Love, Two Weeks Notice... Seen any of these?

And, I totally laughed out loud at your "can't keep my mouth shut for that long" comment! lol2

Well, I hated that movie... but I'm such a prude... lol2

I love Sweet Home Alabama, Stepmom (more serious), most of the Julia Roberts movies... like My Best Friend's Wedding, Runaway Bride... Meg Ryan movies (Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail).

I would say it depends on the relationships you are studying. Love relationships, I am a huge fan of Sweet Home Alabama.
If its relationships in general that cross the whole spectrum, I'm all for Steel Magnolias. My fave and pretty much the most chick, chick flick you can get!

I haven't seen PS I love you...who's in that????

I LOVED Steel Magnolias too, Erin Brokovich is one of my all time fave's..obviously DIRTY DANCING and Pretty Woman are also in my top 5. I liked Knocked Up but I thought that 21 Dresses was TERRIBLE and that Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn movie, the Break Up? OMG I couldn't even watch the whole thing it was so BAD!!!

What about Sleepless in Seattle? Wedding Crashers, obviously The Notebook....Hmmm what else?

~Julie~

Hilary Swank is the lead actress and Kathy Bates is in it. Harry Connick Jr is in it too but I don't like his character. LOL

Oh the "Notebook"!! Love that one too, have it on DVD.

I love older themed movies alot.. So my all time total Favorite is "Pride and Prejudice"... Any version, but partial to the new one with Kiera Nightly and the BBC version from just a few years ago.

yep, my 5yr old DD is already playing with her dolls saying they're having sex :bigeek:. I asked her what it meant and she said she didn't know but that Charlie has it all the time :eyepop:, so I ask her who Charlie is because I'm slightly confused and she replies "Charlie, from Two and a Half Men!" lol2 then asks me if I had boyfriends before Daddy like Charlie has girlfriends and I say yes. The of course she says "did you have sex with them :eyepop:?" oh dear :shake: . I tell her to ask me again when she knows what it is, by then she probably won't want to know the answer lmao

Oh Kirstie that is so funny!! Especially about her questions to you. lol2

One time my DD and her friend were playing Barbies and I was in the other room. Suddenly Barbie was going to have sex with Ken. I went in and said "Do you know what sex is?" They both said "No." So I said "Then your barbies aren't doing it!" And left it at that, LOL.

"How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"
It is a must for Chick Flicks to have a gorgeous guy in them.....
and my fav, although it didn't rate well... "Meet Joe Black" I'm a seriously disturbed Brad Pitt fan. So I also would recommend "Mr & Mrs Smith." That one has a lot of shoot'em up stuff too and it's funny, but it's also very romantic....*sigh*

And if you want to use up a box of kleenex, go for "Message in a Bottle" OMG! Paul Newman is the father in that one, with Kevin Costner & Robin Wright Penn....
