Okay, maybe I am annoying a lot of people with this thread... I dont hope so.
Why do the LO have to contain mostly minty products? Of course I can get the obvios reasons...
I have never seen this at any other gallery... I do love the forum so much and I like the stuff thats beeing sold... But I have other great stuff too. And the LO's I created I can't share here....Because they don't contain minty products... Ohh yeah a confession, I am totally new here...
Were is the limit. Does a LO need to contain 90% or more minty stuff? Is it my own judgement... I just want to know...
Really don't want to be to blunt... (but it is a preconception people have about us Dutchies...)
(and English isn't my first language, so maybe I say things not really the way I mean them...)

I'm sure Miss Mint will give you the explanation you're looking for and I certainly wouldn't want to speak for her, but I think she is very proud of the business she has established and worked very hard to create this site and community. The gallery reflects amazing layouts and projects they are created with her products to showcase them.

Thanks for posting Mariska,
I'm happy to explain! The forum and gallery are here to promote the products sold in the store. You are welcome to post layouts that include other products provided that your page contains MOSTLY PC products (and no outside URLs). You are free to use your judgement because I think giving an exact percentage is silly. The goal is to inspire other customers and to demonstrate new and fun ways to use the products sold here. To put it simply, why can't you post all your pages from any designer? Well, for the same reason why you won't see an ad for Coke at Pepsi headquarters.lol
This is very typical of independant shops (and even some consignment stores). Aside from that, I simply don't have the manpower, the bandwidth..or the desire for that matter, to manage an open gallery.
Hope that helps clarify! ;)

I think it is understandable that Miss Mint have these guidelines. I myself had a LO erased once. I wanted to post LOs here because I love Miss Mint's site and felt bad my gallery here was so small. But she emailed me and told me the policy and I think it is an awesome idea. I love to browse the gallery when i need inspiration for a minty page. I also wanted to add that many galleries have these guidelines. I know of at least three. One requires 75 percent of their product, another at least one site product and another asks for pages mainly with their stuff unless it is for a challenge. I hope to see more minty pages from you and dont forget she offers awesome freebies you can use. Just check back often and u can start a little Mint Stash.

Very nicely said, I've also been a member of digi sites that allow only pages created by designers at their store be posted in their gallery too. It makes sense, I love the Coke and Pepsi analogy. lol

I know there are some sites out there that don't allow outside produts period!
I shop at mostly 3 places and often use a varitey on my pages. I do pay close attention though if i use allot of minty things i'll post here, if i use allot of other things then i'll post there :)
I also have a site where i have uploaded all my layouts so i can share them with family and friends :)
That's allot of uploading lol and that's why i don't upload that much to galleries.
