Were you a paper scrapper first?
I started paper scrapping in 2002ish... and I have always loved digi for webdesign/creating signatures for a parenting message board... and finally made the leap into digi/hybrid scrap.

I started paper scrapping in 2001. I never felt like I was very good at it and I even remember thinking, "I wish there was a way I could just do this on a computer." So, I was super excited when I stumbled across digiscrapping in 2005! I am a member of an online adoption group, and I noticed that many of the ladies in our group had these amazing looking siggie lines. I asked them how they did it and the rest is history!

I was defintely a paper first. But I got so few pages done, lol. Then when I started digital, it was so fast! I had a bunch of pages done in no time. However, I do need to seriously print one of these days!!!

I started paper scrapping when I was 12... then in 2006 DH bought me PSE 5 to edit our wedding photos. My SIL digi scrapped but I was really hesitant to jump in... then I just started playing in 2007 and got hooked!!

Never did paper scrapping at all.
I started digiscrapping by doing message board sigs for my birth board for my youngest daughter. I started digiscrapping in 2006

My mom tried my whole life to get me to be crafty, so I did lots of crafting. Her major love is rubber stamping, and making cards, so that's what I did for awhile.
My friend made a scrapbook of her and her hubby for their guest list, and I loved the idea because I knew it'd be something I'd look at again. I had a blast! Just being newlyweds in college we didn't have money for me to start a hobby.
Then I was drooling over Megan's (mturnidge) digital scrapbook pages ever since she started, so I finally started looking it up in May, got her input, tried it with free software which took FOREVER on my old computer, so my dh bought me a new computer and PSE6, and pretty much that brings me here.

I have been paper scrapping for 11 years. I swore I would never get a digital camera because the pictures looked fake (small mega pixels). then I saw pictures from an original Rebel and I changed my mind. My husband was given a bonus for work and has asked for the Rebel XTi and 70-300 mm IS lens. So, I figured since I had digital pictures, might as well do digital scrapbooking. My friend who went digital convinced me with her pages too. Right now I am in July of 2007 digi and trying to get current, and New Years day 2007-June 2007 of real paper scrapbooking to do. ;) But I don't do hybrid. :D

I started through a parenting board in 2006. One of the women started a weekly thread in the craft forum and it took off so well we now have our own forum there. I also made collages since high school.

I was a paper scrapper for like a week. LOL. We went to Vegas and I decided that I should make a scrapbook of our trip. (I don't know what posessed me). It was the most miserable crafy experience ever...I hated not being able to change or correct mistakes, running out of paper, not having matching colors and SO much work for one darn page and it didn't even look good!
I have no idea how I ended up up searching for digital scrapbooking online. I had thought it was cheesy and was not interested at all. I had no idea that there were online stores or anything. I somehow stumbled upon Shabby Princess and my mouth hit the floor, then I saw Shabby Miss Jen's gallery and I was totally shocked that her pages were digital. I was amazed.

I tried paper scrapping when my son was born 10 years ago. I've never been very crafty with my hands and gave it up quickly.
But I got my first scanner shortly after. And then a photo editing program. I've been obsessed since then.
I didn't start actually digi-scrapping till much later. I was looking on Ebay for custom birthday invites for my youngest daughter, and when I received them, I thought "hey, I can do this!" I started google-ing "digital scrapbooking", and the rest is history. I was instantly hooked!

I was looking for the better way of preserving my wedding pictures. I was just a little fed up with classic albums... I looked on the internet (without any conviction i must say)... I can't remember how i found MissMint's store but when i saw the products and the pages which were posted in the gallery, i immediately knew i would also have a try ! So, I downloaded her monthly freebie, have a try, a second, a third and voila ! I was hooked ! :)
Never been a paper scrapper before (eek... i don't like having glue on my hands and little bits of paper scattered everywhere in my appartment ) ! BTW, digital scrap is SO practical ! I love that you can delete if you're not satisfied with your page ! ;)

I began digiscrapping when I was in the last month of my pregnancy, last march. I couldn't do much anymore and DD was at daycare for three days a week. (She was there because normally I work three days a week, and during my last month I was at home. She wanted to go and play and I didn't mind, too tired , haha.
I had not PS expirience but I managed. Still learning every day though. I was never a paper scrapper, but I did consider it. Luckely I discovered digi on time. saved a lot of hassel, space, store trips, money....
Love to see whats in the store here... open open open :)

I tried my hand at paper scrapping and was horrible at it! My husband is an IT guy and before that he was a graphic designer and used photoshop all the time. So I started fiddling with it and I can't remember exactly what I was looking for, so I did a search and found all sorts of freebies. Its been all downhill from there. I think I spend more time on photoshop now than he does ROFL!

I was a paper scrapper forever--but I'm so cheap I hardly spent any on it! My SIL got into digi-scrapping through a friend of hers and when I saw her first page, I was hooked. I started Jan 07! :)

I was introduced to paper scrapping when I was in my early twenties -- my mom knew this lady that was into Memory Keepers (wait, is that what it was called?). Anyway, I thought the concept was neat. Once I graduated from college and got a real job, I would buy paper things here or there, but I wasn't a very good photographer and the supplies made such a mess, and I thought mine looked so homemade (and not the good kind of homemade), so I didn't do much.
I learned photoshop when I started making my own web sites, and when I found digi scrapping back in early 2007, I thought that it would be an extension of graphic/web design. Which it is, but harder I think, in a way, that designing web sites, because it's more personal. Thankfully, though, I discovered digital photography before that, and have been working on being a better photographer -- finally graduating to a much better camera last year to enhance my new hobby of digiscrapping.
Oh, dear. I think I'm too wordy. ^_^

I started with the oligatory stickers and paper in the Fall of 1991 and gleefully switched to the computer, printer, fonts, and SPEED in October of 2002. I have had several dedicated paper scrappers try to get to me to switch and I did go back for about six months last year. Needless to say, I managed to get about four pages done during that entire six months. I can normally get a page done in about fifteen minutes...ahh, glorious digital scrapping! I don't think I'll ever go back now.

Isn't it amazing how simple those first layouts looked! lol I did a layout way back in like 1996 at one of those scrapbooking parties, when it was first introduced. Oye. And I bought an idea book. It's just so funny how basic they were.

I never paper scrapped. I started getting serious with digi scrap around February 2008 but I have been doing graphic design for a few years now.

I started with hybrid scrapping in 2003. When I googled around for some webshops (the papers where not available in the stores at that time in the Netherlands) I bounced at Shabby Princess. I dowloaded some of the free kits there, but didn't do much with it. When I bought my DSLR-camera in 2006 I got more interested in Photoshop and finally in June 2007 I started with the kits of Shabby Princess. After that I went mad..... I'm addicted now! My hubby has to close down my computer from time to time, so we can spend some quality time together, lol.

My dear friend Jenny-O told me about it in early 2006. It wasn't until late 2006 when I finally joined the rest of the world and got a high-speed internet (as opposed to dial-up, ugh) that I finally started trying my hand at it. Luckily for me, my husband is a graphic/web designer and I started asking him to teach me Photoshop.
Didn't take long before I was hooked. I found Peppermint Creative around late Jan/Feb of 2007. I never was very good at paper scrapping although I did attempt it. I think I am much more creative and I think I am pretty good at this digi stuff if I do say so myself.
Now I'm always trying to get everyone I know doing it. I've offered to teach them but so far nobody's really taken the bait. Too bad for them. But you and I know its only a matter of time until we get them, right?

I went to France in 2000 and knew I had to scrapbook that. I did that one the paper way but never fell in love with it. I was never proud to say to friends hey look at my album!
Years and years later i was working in ahome daycare with a lady who is a ScrapAdict!!! I loved all the stuff she did and thought wow this is what i could get into unforunatly I didn't have money to be spending HUNDREDS of dollars to build up my paper supplies nor did i have the space. The thought came to me to find a way to do this on the comptuer. I love computers and loved the idea that i didn't have to buy extra storage space or tables and a million pairs of scissors.
I stumbled upon Shabby Princess at first then found a much larger popular (so i think) site and good hooked. In my search for more good quality products i found Peppermint Creative.
I've been doing it digi since January of 08 :D

i started paper scrapping back in 2005 when i was pregnant with my jakers. i didnt even know digi scrapping existed until i came across it after googling something about paper scrapping.
i made the transition sometime in 2006. after i had jacob in september 2005 i dont think i scrapped again for almost a year! how can you paper scrap with a baby and bunch of little choking hazzards everywhere?! LOL.
LOVE digi! for that reason (less mess) and im such a dang perfectionist... i would often ruin my paper lo's by trying to "straighten" something after i glued it down. yes, im one of those... also, im just amazed by all the elements and papers... they're awesome! ::yipee::

I actually don't even almost consider myslef a digi scrapper. I'm friends with Megan's sister and I knew Megan.....who btw really is one of the coolest chicks ever.....So I searched out her blog and then found this site. I bought stuff a while back....a long while back. My first digi page was using a free download from Jessica Sprague. I also got some things from shabby miss jenn. But mostly I've done hybrid stuff. However, I'm going to totally fall in love with digi scrapping. I'm up housesitting for my parents and my need to create is eating me alive. I won't ever be able to give up my paper scrapping because I just love the mess way too much! But I just started school and I'm working on becoming a graphic/web designer. I think it'd actually be really cool to know how to create the cool supplies that the designers make! I've always been computer literate and so it makes sense that I'd want to do something on the computer AND be crafty! lol! k...way longer than I intended! oops! lol

I tried desperately to paper scrap in late 2002. I believe I made it through the torture of 6 pages before giving up. I'm pretty sure I have the eye-hand coordination of a sloth, but having to cut, paste, iron, burn, glitterify EVERYTHING was awful. Yuck-o.
Then I was over looking at the pretty pages at 2Peas and saw some of Ali Edwards' digital pages. MINDFREAK. You mean I could do this on the COMPUTER?! HOLLA!
SBB had been founded a couple weeks earlier, and I believe I created my first digi page at the end of February 2003. I've been at it ever since. :)

Kari- I had been working with PSP since version 4.14! I kept upgrading and upgrading until Christmas of 06 when dh bought me a wacom tablet that came with PSE 5. I've not looked back to psp since. PS was intimidating to me at first but now I love it! :)
