Click-a-Pic Challenge #18 "Your Most Favorite"

This challenge is a little different in that it really isn't a challenge at all. (hmmm, on second thought maybe it will be!) This week I want you to hunt through your photos and pick your 2 favorites. There's no requirement for what kind of photo it needs to be. Maybe it's silly or serious or dramatic or artistic or candid. It doesn't matter. Maybe it's your most complimented photo. Or if you have an online viewing gallery like Flickr or Photobucket, it could be your most viewed photo. The choice is up to you.

Sometimes we just need a place to showcase our favorite photos, usually we scrapbook them. In this case we're sharing them for the “challenge”. Narrowing the choices down to just 2 is the challenge this week! I know it was for me!

So ladies, what's your favorite photo you've ever taken? Tell us the story of why it's your favorite.

As it is almost impossible to narrow down the thousands of photos I've taken over the years I decided to post my most viewed/faved/commented photos from Flickr.

this is me, 8 months pregnant with Ava. i set the camera up on a tripod & had Megan help me with this photoshoot. on Flickr this photo has been viewed almost 3100 times, 61 people have favorited it, and it's got 19 comments. who knew a maternity photo would get so much attention. (in fact that entire series of pregnancy photos has LOTS of views)

this one you've seen before from the "Photo Poetry" challenge. it's been viewed 1000 times, 20 people count it as a favorite, and it has 22 comments.

what's amusing to me is that i don't really think either of these photos are that great. not bad, but not fabulous. but on Flickr this is what gets the most attention. it always surprises me what other people find interesting. whenever i do a photoshoot my favorite shots from the shoot inevitably end up being the clients LEAST favorite ones. LOL! beauty is in the eye of the beholder i suppose! :)

it is soooooo hard to decide!!!! i thought i've made my best pic ever last week - the hint of colour-kimi-crocodile-pic.... that didn't win then so it probably wasn't :teehee:

and because i've never shown my pics in a gallery i wouldn't know what people like! my friends and family always say "nice" - thanks. they don't care if it took me years to shoot it or if it was just a lucky shot or whatever....

Hooray for a challenge I could do when sick!

I spent a few hours narrowing down my "favorites". That was about 30 photos.

Then I had DH help me narrow it down even further. He chose different ones than I was leaning toward. We both felt like each time we were closing a photo off of our list that we were offending it. Definitely an emotional experience!

I went with the ones that he picked because I kept cheating and adding more to the list making the decision even harder. Thinking back, I know which two I would have picked, and they weren't these! :smug:

Definitely the most challenging challenge yet, but a really fun one!

Cactus Bloom
This one was taken with my old P&S that I just happened to have in my backpack when we came upon this gorgeous flower! Cactus blooms are pretty rare, and the color and size of this one were breathtaking!

Baby Bath
Oliver's first bath! Don't worry, he liked it pretty quickly. We just love the expression captured on his face, and how clearly you can see the water falling on his head. Now he loves his baths!

Both of these are without post processing because I'm too lazy! :) Plus they are pretty amazing on their own.

I also didn't include pictures I've scrapped or already placed in the challenge. I think my last week's photo in full color of Oliver in the Leaves is probably one of my best too.

that pic of the crocodile & your little boy was fantastic. just cuz pics don't get picked as winners doesn't mean they aren't great. i have the hardest time picking usually.

and Megan i liked that you picked 2 completed different types of photos! awesome!

just decided to take back my pictures. i just remembered a few other nice pictures and i can't decide which ones i like most - probably because i don't really have a favourite. i like a lot of my pictures but there's not one i would say of that it's really GOOD!

but i would like to show you my favourite pic ever - nina took it ( i did some PP). in case she doesn't enter anything you can take this :-)

it was taken a few days after i returend with kimi from the hospital. half of my pregnancy and the first 5 months of his life i had nightmares about the operation we would have to go through... and when it was over i was so relieved and didn't want to be without him for one second... i think in this pic you can see how i feel about that little guy (and that i didn't sleep for a whole week :-)) ) AND that HE didn't have a clue what had happened to him - that's why i like the picture so much!

This is one of my favourites. On the photo you see the son of our friends when he was 4 weeks old, laying in his fathers hands. It's a hand full!

i know right? :D that's why i just did my most viewed/faved on flickr. it was too hard. :P yes i'm a cop-out! lol

I am loving the Click-a-Pic Challenges...I have not been here for a long time.. and I am a little late posting this.. but here are two of my faves from this year.. This is a huge challenge for me. I know not all the pics I take are great ones, but everyone is special.

I just love swans and was thrilled with this shot.. I did do a little oversharpening..but I kind of like the effect so here is my fave critter pic of this year (so far) of a Eurasian Mute Swan mama and her 5 cygnets.

i'm blown away by all of your photos. and this week was really cool to see what your favorites were. they were all lovely! they are all creative or cute or sweet or beautiful. i wish i could choose them all. :) so don't think if your photo wasn't chosen that it wasn't good enough, because they are all worthy!! seriously it's a challenge for me every week to determine a winner. :D
