Mixed Bag Monday Challenge #4 - Hybrid Art

Welcome to another EXCITING edition of Mixed Bag Monday!

This week's challenge - should you choose to accept it - is to create a HYBRID layout WITHOUT photos ~ ala an art piece :D Now, before we scare you off, take a deep breath! Hybrid is not too difficult. You just need to be able to print some favorite papers and/or embellishements and you're ready to go! You can even use scraps which is one of my favorite creative uses for them! Are you up for the challenge?

The details: Create a page, any size you like (12x12, 8.5x11, 8x8) without any photos. You can use geometric shapes, journaling boxes, various embellishements, just get CREATIVE! It can be themed to a favorite holiday (imagine having a super cute finished piece of art just in time for Halloween!), a journaling art work about a favorite memory, or a hodge podge of embellishments just for fun, whatever you like!

AND, as added incentive, EVERYONE who participates in the challenge will be entered into a drawing! I will draw one winner and send them the baby art (*unframed, sorry I only have one ;))!! Do you know someone that would love to have this? Or maybe you?!

HOW TO PLAY:
1. Create a layout/art piece according to the challenge prompt.
2. Use a significant amount of Peppermint Creative product.
3. Post your page in the Main Gallery (http://www.peppermintcreative.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=3) & link to it in this thread.
4. Pages must be posted by midnight on Sunday July 26th (EST).
5. Winner announced on Monday (selected by challenge hostess).
6. Winner recieves one Minty Buck ($1GC to the PC store)
7. One page per challenge please.

Well, i finished mine but can't post it right now because my hybrid is for MJ ! Just have to take 2 or 3 pics before sending it in a little treat box among other hybrids i made last weekend ! :smug:

Finally hybrids aren't too difficult, and i think i'm hooked !

I just had an idea and will give it a try! Problem is that I need to buy something to finish it - but shops are closed until monday...

This is supposed to be a clock! I just have to go and buy the clockwork and fix it in the middle. I took an old record and used it as the base - like that you already have the hole in the middle...

It is for my son's room which is completely in this turquoise color.

Birgit what kind of adhesive did you use?

for the first one I used some spray-on glue - of course this was empty in the middle of the second one. then I used a normal glue, like you use in school... that didn't really work. the paper got all wet and I had it everywhere :noidea:

sorry, can't describe it better, my english still seems to be limited when it gets to non-everyday language... :idiot:

Ok, everyone! I printed all the participants and drew a random name (sorry, I don't have a photo :( was going to post the drawing, but my camera is buried in my scraproom, under drop cloths - it's being painted for Drew's new room!)
