Mixed Bag Monday Challenge #2 - Blind Scraplift

Who’s ready for something really challenging that will get your mind thinking? :happydance:

We’re going to test our skills with a “Blind Scraplift”, no you don’t have to blindfold yourself LOL! All you need to do is read the Layout description below and follow it to create your own layout.....easy peasy, right? :eyepop: This is all you get; the actual layout I’ve chosen from the PC Gallery is a secret and will be revealed at the end of the challenge. The person’s layout that is closest to the original layout will be the winner.

Layout Description
1. The large photo is placed towards the left side of the page, is portrait in orientation and is a rectangle.
2. On top of the background paper is another square paper slightly smaller in size.
3. There are two horizontal scallop strips, one towards the bottom and the other towards the top of the page.
4. There is a tag attached to the top of the photo with a staple.
5. The title is placed under the photo.
6. There is a piece of paper to the right of the photo at a slight angle.
7. The journaling is on the paper to the right of the photo.
8. There is a photo corner at the top right hand corner of the photo.
9. There are two elements centered above the journaling.
10. There is a vertical ribbon to the left of the photo.
11. The journaling includes four word strips.
12. To the right of the title and below the journaling there are four clustered elements.

the first upload seemed to crop the edges so I redid the page to allow more edge space. I am a novice so it is obviously my error, but I will learn as I do more things!

Your page is amazing. I love how you interpretted the instructions.
I added a thumbnail of your page to your post for ya. It's really easy to do!

After your page has been uploaded to the gallery, click to view it and
you will see three lines of HTML code (under the credits/comments etc)
Copy/paste the one that says BBC Code HTML or something like that.

That will give you a thumbnail in your post.

As for the gallery cutting off edges - it shouldn't let us know what
program you are using so that we can give you tips on saving for
web and uploading - but really, everything looks GREAT!

What an awesome idea for a challenge! Here is what I came up with, although I used a landscape photo and made some other minor changes. I had a lot of fun with this one.

haha! This one took me 3 completely different pages before I actually had something I liked. It's those scalloped strips that kept getting me...

Congratulations to everybody who made a LO. I gave it a try but I struggled to make anything looking good enough before running out of time. Blind instructions were fun though. You all did a great job.
