Click-a-Pic Challenge #2 "A Girl's Favorite Accessory"

For our 2nd challenge I wanted to do something that's girlie fun. What woman doesn't like a cute pair of shoes? They can make the outfit, make you feel sexy, or add a little something that was missing. Shoes also have a practical side. Maybe you're a runner & a great pair of running shoes makes all the difference. Maybe your daughter takes ballet, or your son plays ball, specific shoes are required for both.

For this challenge I want you to photograph shoes. Whether on feet or in a box or on a shelf or piled in the floor....Shoes are the name of the game this time around.

But there's a twist. For this challenge I want everyone to try a black & white conversion. Photos submitted need to be in black & white.

What's a black & white conversion you ask? A black & white conversion is simply making a color photo black & white. How does one achieve this? Well one of the easiest ways is to use a photoshop action. One of my favorites, Aly's B/W, can be found here: http://www.atncentral.com/bw_conv.htm

If you have any questions please feel free to post them or email me. I'm here to help. Also, it would be helpful for participants to either number or title their submitted photos so when we go to pick the top 3 it's easier to identify photos for everyone's recognition!

You have from Friday July 3rd to Thursday July 9th to shoot your photos for this theme. Please submit only photos taken during that time frame. Below are some examples to get the creative juices flowing. Good luck and I look forward to seeing everyones photos!

Super fun! My son has learned to put on his shoes himself (which he loves & is so proud of) but when he gets them on the wrong feet he won't change them. I was trying to get a good shot (with no luck) one day last week of his little feet in the wrong shoes! I'll have to keep trying!

Then of course, like my avatar, I :heart: flip flops.

Well, it doesn't come close to the wedding shoes or the tap shoes on a musical background but I think I might even use this photo for a LO because I want to document the fact that even at 3 years old my son is totally INDEPENDENT and OPPOSITIONAL. I think independent is the nice way of saying oppositional at this age. LOL!

Alli, your pic is inspiring ! Love it ! You can make a boyish page with it using Minty prods such as Hey Dude, Rainbow Joy, Sk8ter Boy or Rebel One ! There are lots of possiblities actually ! ;)

There are actually 18 shoes here lined up in a row...I only put the right shoe in line because I thought it would look cool. This angle is not actually the angle I had in mind when I laid them out but it was the best one after I saw them on the computer! Anyone want to hold an intervention for me regarding my addiction to flip flops?

These are the first pair of shoes I have been absolutely in love with...so much that I would go back to the store weekly to see if they were on sale yet, and then when they went on sale, they were out of my size, so DH surprised me and ordered them online. I love them because they are sassy Mary Jane heels with buttons instead of buckles!

Drew and Macey each had a pair of these shoes and wore them until about 4 months old. I just loved them and I'm so attached to them ;)

I had a hard time deciding what shoes to use for this challenge as I have a *few* too many pairs :redface: .. but finally decided on this pair because I thought they would be fun outside because of the zebra print..
